Round Table “Effective Business Environment for Entrepreneurs”

On October 3, ABU hosted a roundtable titled "Effective Business Environment for Entrepreneurship: Features of Development in the Russian and Kazakhstani Markets," organized by the International School of Business and the Department of Business and Management of Alikhan Bokeikhan University, in collaboration with the Department of Economics, Accounting, and Analysis of Economic Activities of St. Petersburg State Forestry University named after S. M. Kirov. 

The event was held online, bringing together leading experts from Russia and Kazakhstan to discuss pressing issues of business development and innovation in the context of global changes.

Among the moderators and speakers were:

- Veselin Blagoev, Director of the ABU International School of Business, Professor, presented a report on global transformation and its impact on companies' innovation strategies.

- Elena Shustova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at ABU, PhD, MBA, highlighted issues of international cooperation and innovative solutions in business.

- Aizhan Orynbasarova, Head of the "Business and Management" Department at ABU, PhD, gave an assessment of government support programs for entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan.

- Svetlana Tereshchenko, Head of the International Cooperation Department of St. Petersburg State Forestry University, spoke about corporate strategies of Russian businesses amid ESG transformation.

- Mikhail Yanenko, Associate Professor at SPbSFTU, an expert from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, shared his experience in the digital transformation of marketing management.

- Irina Nefedova, Associate Professor at SPbSFTU, highlighted the main areas of cooperation between business and higher education.

- Olga Polyanskaya and Anna Mikhailova, lecturers at SPbSFTU, presented a report on the effectiveness of using innovative technologies at industrial enterprises.

The roundtable was organized as part of a joint research project between ABU and SPbSFTU. The goal of the project is to develop recommendations for improving the practices of small and medium-sized enterprises in the context of global digital transformations.

The event became an important platform for exchanging experiences and ideas, contributing to business development in Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as strengthening cooperation between universities and the entrepreneurial community.
