On October 25, as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Alikhan Bokeikhan University, a round table discussion was held on the topic "Mechanisms and forms of international inter-university cooperation: experience and prospects for development" with the participation of foreign ABU partner universities.
The discussion brought together well-known scientists from various countries, including representatives of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Thus, colleagues from Technical University of Sofia, namely, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Lubomir Dimitrov and Associate Professor Stanyo Kolev took part in this event.
The vice-rector of the Varna University of Management, Professor Vesselin Blagoev, St. Petersburg State Forestry University Head of International Cooperation Department Svetlana Tereshchenko, as well as Altai State University Head of International Educational Programs Department Svetlana Glushanina also joined the discussion. Also deputy director of the Moscow State University branch in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) Abdukhakim Mamanazarov and the head of the Education Export Department of Novosibirsk State University, Director of the Novosibirsk Interuniversity Center for International Education NICE, Evgeny Sagaidak attended the round table discussion in online format.
In addition, among the participants of this event were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Hadjiev Boyan, Minister Plenipotentiary and Head of the Consular Office of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Plamen Petkov.
Within the discussion Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Elena Shustova made a presentation on ABU international inter-university cooperation development for 10 years and presented the main results of cooperation. During the discussion participants posed questions of improving cooperation between universities from different countries, exchanging experience of inter-university cooperation between Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation universities in the field of education and research, discussed forms of inter-university cooperation in context of global challenges, as well as promoting student mobility and the development of academic programs.
This event was a great opportunity for scientists and university leaders to share their experience and knowledge, contributing to the further development of academic and scientific cooperation with foreign universities.
