RULES ON MEASURES OF INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH SUCCESS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH TEAMS
1. General Provisions

1.1. These rules establish the criteria and measures for evaluating the success of interdisciplinary research conducted at Alikhan Bokeikhan University (hereinafter referred to as "the University").
1.2. Interdisciplinary research refers to academic work that integrates knowledge, methodologies, and perspectives from multiple disciplines to address complex problems and generate innovative solutions.
1.3. These rules apply to faculty members, research staff, and students engaged in interdisciplinary research within the University.

2. Key Criteria for Measuring Interdisciplinary Research Success

2.1. Publication and Citation Impact

Research published in high-impact, peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journals.

Citation count and h-index of interdisciplinary publications.

Contributions to prestigious interdisciplinary conferences.

2.2. Research Funding and Grants

Acquisition of competitive interdisciplinary research grants.

Collaboration with national and international funding agencies supporting interdisciplinary projects.

Participation in industry-sponsored research initiatives.

2.3. Collaborative Networks and Partnerships

Establishment of interdisciplinary research groups and centers within the University.

Collaborations with other universities, research institutions, and industry partners.

Joint publications and co-authored works across disciplines.

2.4. Societal and Policy Impact

Application of interdisciplinary research outcomes to address societal challenges.

Contributions to policymaking through interdisciplinary research insights.

Public engagement and dissemination of research findings through media, workshops, and public lectures.

2.5. Educational and Mentorship Contributions

Development of interdisciplinary academic programs and courses.

Supervision of interdisciplinary student research projects.

Integration of interdisciplinary research findings into teaching and learning.

3. Evaluation and Recognition

3.1. The University shall establish an Interdisciplinary Research Commission to assess the impact and success of interdisciplinary research initiatives.
3.2. An annual review of interdisciplinary research activities shall be conducted, taking into account the criteria listed in Section 2.
3.3. Researchers demonstrating outstanding interdisciplinary contributions shall be eligible for University awards and incentives, including financial support, research grants, and public recognition.
3.4. The University shall facilitate knowledge exchange and best practices through interdisciplinary seminars, symposia, and workshops.

4. Implementation, Administrative Support, and Monitoring

4.1. The University administration, in collaboration with relevant faculties, shall oversee the implementation of these rules.
4.2. Each faculty shall report interdisciplinary research activities and outcomes annually to the Science department.
4.3. The effectiveness of these rules shall be reviewed periodically, and amendments may be made based on research trends and institutional priorities.
4.4. Administrative Support for Interdisciplinary Research Teams:

The University shall provide dedicated administrative support for interdisciplinary research teams, including assistance with grant applications, project management, and coordination of collaborative efforts.

Research teams shall have access to shared research facilities, databases, and technological resources necessary for interdisciplinary studies.

The University shall establish an interdisciplinary research commission to assist with compliance, budgeting, and logistical support for research projects.

Dedicated staff shall facilitate communication between departments to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and integration.
