Brief information
The Department of Business and Management is an educational, scientific and structural unit of the Faculty of Information Technology and Economics of Alikhan Bokeikhan University.
In order to master students' professional competencies, practitioners - leading specialists of second-tier banks, managers of various companies, qualified accountants and auditors are involved in lectures on specialized disciplines. On the basis of JSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan" dual training is carried out, practical classes are held.

International cooperation
For the effectiveness of international exchanges and internships, cooperation agreements on the exchange of experience in organizing and scientific research have been concluded with such universities as the Altai Academy of Economics and Law (AAEIP, Barnaul, Russia), Kuzbass State Technical University named after.Gorbachev (KuzSTU, Kemerovo, Russia), Varna University of Management (Sofia, Bulgaria), Russian New University (RosNOU, Moscow, Russia), Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic).
In 2017, Serikkazhieva Tolganai, a student of the OP "Finance", won a grant from the international program "Erasmus +" and studied at the Higher School of Finance and Management in Bialystok, Poland.
Scientific work
Research work is a mandatory, integral part of the training of qualified specialists at the university, as an inseparable component of a single process.
Important elements of research are the participation of teachers of the department at international and regional scientific and practical conferences, seminars, round tables. The teaching staff of the department publishes monographs, textbooks, textbooks, and is published in various scientific publications and journals.
Over the past 5 years, the teaching staff of the department has published and published more than 15 monographs, 11 textbooks and teaching aids, more than 35 articles of the KKSON, 30 articles indexed in the SCOPUS database, as well as more than 170 abstracts in the collections of International scientific and practical conferences.
According to the programs of academic mobility of bachelors, undergraduates and teaching staff, the faculty partners are more than 15 foreign universities.
The teaching staff of the department is working on the research work of students. The department has 3 scientific circles - "Financier", "Accountant" and "Young manager". Leaders of the circles: Turdieva Z.M., Kurmanbaeva S.T., Aubakirov F.M.
Teachers of the department have been awarded Honorary Diplomas of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the best University teacher, etc. Senior teachers of the Department "Business and Management" Nurpeisova A.Z. and Aidarkhanova T.D. received a Diploma of the first degree, a certificate and a badge "Young scientist – 2020". So, by the decision of the Presidium of the RAE, senior lecturer of the department Takhtaeva R.S. became the owner of the Honorary title "Honored Worker of Science and Education of the Russian Federation".
Participation in the conference for students is a good lesson in public speaking, where they hone their oratorical skills and the ability to express thoughts. Public speaking develops confidence and increases self-esteem.
So, students Sayfullin T, Mukhtarova A., Ernazarova A. in 2019 took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference at KuzSTU (Kemerovo, Russia) and won prizes. From April 15 to 20, 2019, students of the Department of Business and Management visited AltSU (Barnaul, Russia) to participate in an international scientific and practical conference and to undergo an internship as part of the academic mobility program. At the end of the program, they received the appropriate certificates and diplomas for prizes.
M. Sarkytbayev became a prize-winner of the republican contest and entered the "Altyn Kitab" of the youth of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the nomination "Social Entrepreneurship" of the International Competition of student business projects, startups, which took place on March 02, 2021, within the framework of the International Winter School on Entrepreneurship, Kirill Malyshtsev and Kamila Espayeva took 2nd place with the project "Wonder woman", scientific supervisor F.M. Aubakirov.
There are 3 student scientific circles at the department: "Financier", "Accountant", "Young manager". The work of the circles is carried out according to the approved annual plan of the circle.
Teaching staff
The quantitative composition of the Department of Business and Management consists of 38 full–time teachers, including doctors of Sciences - 2, PhD doctors -9, candidates of Sciences -11, masters of Economic Sciences -16.
Classes are taught to students by invited practitioners: Nurkhanov K. – Head of the department of Nurbank JSC, Takhtaev E.K. Director of Mega Trade LLP, Moldybaeva A.S. - Chief Accountant of Spetsavtocenter LLP and others.

Our achievement
Teachers of the department in various years were awarded honorary diplomas of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akim of Semey and East Kazakhstan region, the title of the Best University teacher, etc.

Educational work
Educational work is one of the components of the overall learning process. During the educational hours in academic groups, issues directly related to the social life of students are considered: internal regulations, significant events in the life of the country, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, analysis of academic performance, preparation of festive events according to the plans of educational work of the university and group work.
On October 22, 2020, Certificates were awarded to students of the School of Integrity Niyazgulova Indira (a student of OP Finance) and Zekenova Venus (a student of OP Accounting and Auditing) at Alikhan Bokeikhan University. The certificates were awarded by the Vice-Rector for Legal Affairs and Anti-Corruption Policy, MD Mataeva M.H.
2020, the FN-901 group took 1st place 4th-year student of the specialty "Economics" Mukhtarova Ainara and 2nd-year master's student Omarbayeva Arailym presented the project "RERO". This project in 2018 won a prize fund of 1 million tenge. in a special contest "How to feed Kazakhstan – 3" from Raimbek Group.
